AIPA was proud to sponsor and attend the Australian Women Pilots’ Association Conference (AWPA) held in early May in Airlie Beach.

The event brought together aviation professionals from across the industry and featured an impressive lineup of speakers covering everything from aviation meteorology and human factors to leadership, resilience and mentorship. A strong focus throughout the conference was on building sustainable career pathways, supporting diversity and inclusion and helping pilots perform at their best in demanding operational environments.

It was a great opportunity to connect with pilots, industry leaders and aspiring aviators, while celebrating the important contribution women continue to make across all areas of aviation.

AIPA is honoured to be involved with such initiatives, encouraging greater participation, professional growth and long-term career sustainability within the aviation community.

Not only will we be supporting the conference again in 2027, but we are also continuing our contribution to the Australian Women Pilots’ Association scholarship program which creates opportunities for current and future aviation professionals.
